Dear Dr. Raj,
thanks for sending to me your subject journal. I have been impressed by your high level scientific activity and especial from your serious commitment to our common planet. This responsibility could be a good example for every one and first of all for the whole scientific community. I wish you success and progress in this way.
I would appreciate to get further issues of your Newsletter.
Sincerely yours

Jawaharlal Nehru said Bhakra Dam is a modern temple. On that analogy, the Fast Breeder Atomic Power Plant is an ultra-modern temple.
Analysis, Design and Construction of a Nuclear Power Plant exposes the engineer to frontier areas in their specialisation. I was fortunate to interact with Nuclear Power Corporation for a major part of my active life and I learned Structural
Mechanics through that exposure. Fast Breeder Power Plant is a quantum step in engineering.
INAE held its annual convention last week at Kalpakkam. On the third day, we were shown round the complex. [unfortunately, most Fellows, who lead a very busy life, missed the oppurtunity of the visit to site].
The project covers all aspects of diverse fields of modern engineering. I was greatly impressed with activities of research on Structural Mechanics (Static and Dynamic) and Dr. P. Chellapandi is the group leader of these world class activities.
The construction aspects of the project, which is in full swing is mind boggling.
This being an entire indigenous effort of top class Indian Engineers and Scientists makes us proud to be Indian.

Ps: Young researches could make use of the oppurtunity being provided by Atomic Energy Organisations as they provide a lot of funds and encouragement.
