Mission Statement

To provide all necessary support to solve the chemical problems faced / anticipated in the development of Fast Reactors and associated fuel cycles

To develop methodologies to understand the chemical behaviour of fuels, coolants, fission products, control rod and structural materials through experimental measurements and modeling

To provide expert analytical services to various programmes in the Centre and to develop new analytical techniques

To carry out basic chemical studies to fine tune the R&D capabilities and be in a state of readiness to undertake challenging investigations for furthering the Department's goal

To develop indigenous chemical instrumentation in support of the R & D programmes of the Centre as well as for national projects.

To assist in imparting chemical education

To promote excellence in chemical research and development in every possible manner

To work towards being identified as a premier chemical laboratory
