RTAS: Development of intense pulsed neutron source, ECR x-ray source, studies related to sodium and fission product aerosol behavior in a contained atmosphere during accidents, studies on the transport of active corrosion products in fast reactors, studies on effects of ageing in concrete, studies related to diffusion of radioactive gases in interconnected buildings and diffusion in products media etc. and the major activities of the section

RSS: In addition to provide health physics services for the radioactive facilities in  IGCAR, measurement of internal occupational exposure with whole body counting facility & bioassay and external exposure with TLDs, radon diffusion studies in concrete, development of criticality monitors, calibration facility for radiation monitors, gamma scanning facility, HEPA filter testing facility, nuclear counting facility and environmental impact assessment for fast reactor fuel cycle facilities are the activities of RSS.
