The Electrical Distribution of Anupuram Township is done via four 11 KV indoor substations namely MSS, RMS2, RMS3 and RMS4. Like in Kalpakkam Township, installation and commissioning of two more 11 KV indoor substations namely MSS2 and RMS5 are in progress in Anupuram Township too for the same motivation. Two 11KV feeders from Central Switching Station in IGCAR have been received and fed to MSS substation.

In order to enhance the reliability and availability of supply in imperative areas, seven diesel generator sets in Kalpakkam Township and two diesel generator sets in Anupuram Township are put in place to provide the backup supply. One mobile diesel generator set in Kalpakkam Township is also available which acts as a solid backup during festivals and other in the townships NESCO. Primary distribution is done through various feeder pillars placed at optimal locations and electrify the residences in their proximity. Most of the feeder pillars are ring main connected in order to ensure high reliability of power supply. Feeder pillars feeds supply to various stair case distribution boards available near the household which forms the secondary distribution. From there individual houses have been electrified.

Indirect power saving has also been achieved due to the implementation of automatic power factor controller modules in the essential areas thereby achieving a better power quality. Loads of continuous improvement activities have been planned in and around the townships in order to achieve greater heights.
