To provide adequate, high quality, reliable and uninterrupted power required for various needs of the research activities and the infrastructural requirements of the centre. To meet this Electrical Services Division designs, construct, operate, maintain and upgrade Electrical transmission and distribution system keeping in mind the system reliability & safety.
The division is also responsible for providing state of the art intercom telecommunication services to the plant site as well as for Energy conservation in the Electrical sphere through auditing and implementing various energy conservation measures.

For System Improvement, Rear door safety logics by mechanical interlocks have been implemented in CSS (Bus section - B). This will prevent the rear door to be opened without switching Off the CB and with drawing it out-side the cubicle.
